Academic entry requirements

  • a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in economics, or a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) that includes successful completion of study in mathematics and/or statistics and/or econometrics (equivalent to 2 units at level 2 or higher at The University of Queensland), and satisfy the Executive Dean (or delegate) that the applicant is qualified to undertake the program based on the applicant's academic records and subject to completion of additional work or an interview, if requested. You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 5.5 or higher on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification. Approval is required from the Executive Dean (or delegate) where the bachelor's degree was completed more than two years prior to commencement of the Bachelor of Economics (Honours). If enrolment in the Bachelor of Economics (Honours) is approved, the Head of School may set conditions.
