About this course

This program will prepare you to teach young people about the importance of being healthy and the fun of participating in sports and physical activities. Be a leader in your field and encourage students from all backgrounds to understand their fitness and health and develop a lifelong love of being active. You will encourage young people to explore a range of sport and physical activities, develop self-esteem and acquire social skills including decision-making and problem-solving. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the sciences behind human movement including biomechanics, motor development, skill acquisition and exercise physiology. You will be confident with over 100 days of professional teaching experience including a full school term in your fourth year in variety of settings including primary, secondary and special needs.
