Eligibility
The Award is available each year to a commencing ANU student who:(a) is a domestic or international student;(b) receives an offer of admission to the Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) – Science; and(c) is commencing their first undergraduate degree.SelectionOnly applicants who meet all the eligibility criteria will be considered. Selection is made based on applicants meeting the eligibility criteria and their responses in the ASA or Award application. Where there are more equally ranked applicants than there are Awards available, preference may be given to those who meet one or more of the following criteria (in order of priority, where applicable): Financial hardship Indigenous Australian Long-term medical condition, disability, or ongoing effects of abuse Refugee status Final years of schooling at a low ICSEA school (below 1000) Final years of secondary education at a rural school (EAS category S01R)Residing outside Australia before commencing PhB (Honours) studies If awards remain, consideration will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following (in order of priority): Residing outside the Canberra region before commencing PhB (Honours) studies Highest number of equity adjustment factors Residing in a remote or regional area (as per ASGS classification) Greatest distance from the Canberra region before commencement Preference may be given to applicants relocating from difficult-to-access locations.
