Eligibility
The Award is available to a commencing ANU student who:is a domestic or international student;receives an offer of admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at the University;is recognised as an elite athlete (para or able bodied) or coach, meeting one or more of the following criteria:Is identified as a categorised athlete by their National Sporting Organisation (NSO), State Sporting Association (SSO), Player Association (PA) and appears on a current categorised list;Holds a scholarship within the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) or with one of the eight State and Territory Institutes and Academies of Sport;Is affiliated as an elite athlete or coach with one of the organisations listed on the ANU Scholarships website; and/orDemonstrates elite sporting achievement by meeting one or more of the following criteria:Holds an individual national ranking within the top 15 for an Australian Sports Commission - recognised and funded sport;Has been selected for a State team competing at the National Championships, or is actively vying for selection;Competes in a National Sporting Organisation-affiliated national competition at senior or reserve level;Holds a top 3 individual ranking at the state or territory level in an Australian Sports Commission - recognised and funded sport;Is a member of a State open-age squad or equivalent for the highest level/grade of the sport;Is a member of a National (age-capped or open-age) squad or equivalent (AIS) for the highest level/grade of the sport;Demonstrates a comparable level of achievement in a respective sport not covered by the above criteria.
