Eligibility

Applicants must be a new international student enrolling in a Deakin coursework degree, must meet the entry requirements for their program including English language requirements, and must have achieved at least an 85% average or equivalent in previous studies. Selection is competitive, so meeting the minimum criteria is not sufficient on its own. This scholarship is not available to students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (H911) program, and is not awarded automatically: applicants must submit the International Scholarship Program application form together with a 300-word personal statement, two references and academic transcripts to Deakin International Admissions at least one month before their program starts, and may be invited to an interview. Recipients must take part in the Vice-Chancellor's Professional Excellence Program.
