Eligibility
Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand, must be a new commencing full-time student starting in 2026 or 2027 who has received an offer to study by the scholarship application closing date, must have a minimum GPA in previous studies of 6.0 or above on a 7 point scale or equivalent, and must satisfy all Griffith academic and English language entry requirements. This scholarship is not automatic: a separate scholarship application is required, including academic records and a personal statement, and applications are assessed by a University panel. A limited number of scholarships is awarded each year. Applications close 15 August 2026 for the Trimester 3 2026 round and 28 November 2026 for the Trimester 1 2027 round; students completing Australian Year 12 only apply by 21 December 2026. The scholarship excludes Higher Degree Research, online programs, non-award study, the Study Abroad Program, Diploma programs, the Masters Qualifying Program, the MBA (program code 5158), English language programs at the Griffith English Language Institute, programs offered only part time, and programs delivered in collaboration with a partner organisation. To keep the scholarship a student must pass all courses each trimester and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 5.5 on a 7.0 point scale.
