Scholarship details
Eligibility
Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand, must not be a humanitarian or other permanent visa holder, must be a full fee-paying non-sponsored student, must be applying for direct entry into one of the specified eligible La Trobe courses (other courses do not qualify - confirm the current eligible course list with the University), and must commence studies at a La Trobe Victorian campus in 2026. This scholarship is not automatically considered: a separate application form must be completed in full, including a written statement of up to 250 words. Selection is based on academic performance (minimum WAM 80), English language proficiency and the written statement, and shortlisted applicants may be asked to provide further information, an interview or a video submission. Applicants must obtain an offer letter before selection and must have passed the La Trobe Genuine Student assessment, including financial checks. Application deadlines for the Term 6 / Summer Semester 2026 round are 31 August 2026 for applicants in the Middle East and East Asia, 14 September 2026 for other international applicants located outside Australia, and 21 October 2026 for international applicants located in Australia. The scholarship cannot be deferred to 2027, and the offer may be revoked if the recipient is unable to secure a student visa for 2026.
